The successes of the Stramilano Half Marathon 2023

At 10 a.m. a cannon shot in Piazza Castello kicked off the Stramilano Half Marathon, one of Italy’s most attended half marathons about the classic distance of 21,097 Km.
Around 5,500 runners including athletes, professionals and marathon lovers tested themselves by running at a fast pace and crossing the finish line in Piazza Castello. The Athletes’ Village Supported them. It was set up by the Italian Red Cross in Cannon Square, which offered medical assistance, a massage area and a bag storage service.
Regarding the men’s race the podium was all-Kenyan: Cosmas Mwangi Boi won with a time of 59’40”, followed by Isaac Kipkemboi Too (1h01’05”). Bernard Musau Wambua (1h01″09″), won the bronze medal. Also worth mentioning is the great performance of Salvatore Gambino from Italy (1h04″57”). Excellent 5th place for Pasquale Selvarolo with 1h02’54”.
Everything happened in two seconds for the women’s podium, all times under the race record: at the top the Kenyan athlete Gladys Cherop Longari, with a time of 1h07’28”. Same time for Ethiopian Aberash Schilima Kebeda (1h07’28”) and the third place for her compatriot Anchinalu Dessie Genaneh (1h07’30”). First among the Italian athletes Giovanna Epis (6th place) with 1h12’01”.
The appointment with the 51st edition of Stramilano is for March 24, 2024!
